# How to Start

**A. Create a Decentralized Tezos Wallet**

First you need to create a decentralized Tezos Wallet.

The easiest way to create a Tezos wallet instantly is to use the browser-based Kukai Wallet. You can create an account with one click using Google, Facebook, Twitter or Reddit. Most Tezos dapps use this Tezos Wallet as a login option, typically under the Beacon login.

You can also easily create a Temple Wallet, which has a browser add-on extension for many common internet browsers.

Whichever wallet you chose, make sure to keep a safe record of your secret phrase and never share your secret phrase with anyone else, or they will have access to your crypto, tokens and NFTs.

**B. Fund your account with Tezos**

Some wallets (like Kukai or Temple) allow you to purchase Tezos directly in the wallet, otherwise you can trade for Tezos on decentralized exchanges and send it to your wallet.

**C. Connect your wallet to a Marketplace**

Link your Tezos wallet to a marketplace through the Beacon dapp. Typically this is called "sync" your wallet, but depending on the marketplace, it could also be labeled as login. A new window will pop open on your browser, and you will need to approve a link request.
